Cecile by Eline de Munck
The unparalleled freedom my mother has given me in my upbringing is admirable. She placed no limits on my dreams, nor did she set expectations that could only lead to disappointment. Instead, she offered me a blank sheet of paper on which I could write my own story. But don't be fooled, discipline and responsibility were expected with every choice I made. If I chose something, it was my duty to do it with the utmost commitment and dedication, with attention to detail and the necessary time. My mother knows no compromise when it comes to quality; Either you do it right or you don't do it. This unwavering standard is also reflected in all her own efforts.
The unconditional support I received with every choice I made according to these principles has meant the world to me. It has given me the inner strength to believe in myself and never fear failure. Because can you really fail if you have really given everything?
